DIY:
-Gain access to panel and remove
-(good point to check drain channels for debris, clear using proper techniques)
-mark top center of panel (the point where both seal ends meet)
-remove old weatherstrip
-remove rust, prep panel, paint or wrap so substrate is clean and even.
-grab one end of new seal, position on previous mark and begin to roll seal onto panel
-carefully push up with both thumbs essentially rolling or massaging it up into the channel or slot until top panel is flush with seal as you go
-corners can be a little tricky due to length, guide seal in that rounded direction so it moves with you making it easier, taking your time follow previous step to ensure flush fit.
-continue all the way around
-once at the end you will have extra, fit as much as you can and then overlap the seal on top of the beginning point.
-using a sharp tool, mark a straight line where the 2 ends will meet leaving no gap. you can start with the 2 vertical faces on both sides and then lift off to trace all the way around with tool.
-now your trace is complete, use a different tool to make the cut. (metal inside seal) recommend parking brake cable cut tool or equivalent if no dremel or power tool available.
-during the cut, the metal may bend slightly closed making the end too tight, simply pry back open gently with flathead screw driver or equivalent and install the rest.
-optional: add windshield bond to ends (not required) can also substitute for adhesive safe to use on rubber.
